Anna Przekopowicz - Translator & Web Designer
My specialty is software localization (Linux and MS Windows utilities), primarily in the web design branch of the software industry (GUIs, web pages, APIs etc.), and creative translation of a literary nature, but am experienced in almost any subject, especially in the area of humanities and anything related to sound engineering or music. I am also capable of proofreading and editing a wide range of texts in Polish.
Most of the time I translate and review documentation and web content generally related to information technology (also software and web standards), chemistry, as well as texts about corporate communication and marketing.
In addition to my work as a translator I’m also a web designer and a web standards evangelist. Quite often I combine these two professions translating various materials for such organizations as W3C or WaSP (obviously free of charge).
- I have a MSc degree in computer science at the Wroclaw University
- I have three years of experience as Software Localization Project Manager, my managed projects portfolio involves Dreamweaver and HTML & CSS design, each with over half a million words to translate
- Holder of Cambridge Certificate of Proficency (CPE) Grade A
